Safe Children's Care is a family-owned company. They are passionate about establishing and maintaining an exceptional children’s home where children who have faced difficult beginnings can find a secure and loving environment.


This is a unique opportunity for an applicant to create an ideal nurturing, caring, and safe environment from the ground up. You will collaborate with the Responsible Individual and a supportive team dedicated to opening this new Children’s Home in a fully refurbished property.


You will establish a caring home for up to three children who require permanent care or need support to transition into foster care. You will lead the team, mentoring them to provide the quality support these children deserve, making a positive impact on their lives.


We are seeking someone who is currently a registered manager or has been a registered manager with an excellent proven track record and has been through Ofsted inspections.


We are looking to fill this role immediately.


Key Responsibilities

  • Management of Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring a well-organised, efficient, and safe environment for children with emotional, behavioural, and complex learning needs.
  • Compliance with Ofsted Regulations: Ensure that all activities within the home are in full compliance with Ofsted standards, national care standards, and local authority requirements.
  • Personalised Care Plans: Develop, implement, and regularly review individual care plans, specifically designed to address the emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties of the children in our care.
  • Leadership and Staff Development: Lead, mentor, and support a team of care staff, ensuring they are skilled and motivated to provide the highest quality of care, particularly to children with complex needs.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection: Lead safeguarding efforts and ensure that staff are fully trained and compliant with child protection procedures.
  • Building Positive Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, their families, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements as needed to ensure the best outcomes for children.


We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Significant residential childcare experience
  • Has been through Ofsted registration
  • A solid understanding of Ofsted regulations and expectations
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills
  • Ability to achieve service delivery to national standards
  • A passion for developing new services for children and young people
